3. Use of cookies

In order to make visits to our website more user-friendly and to enable particular functions, we use cookies on various pages. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted when the browser session ends, in other words when you close your browser (‘session cookies’). Other cookies remain on your device and enable us or our partner companies to recognise your browser when you visit our website again (‘persistent cookies’). You can adjust your browser settings to tell you about the use of cookies. You can decide to accept cookies individually, to accept them in certain cases or to reject them in general. Rejection of cookies may compromise the functionality of our website.

4. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (‘Google’). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files saved on your computer, to enable analysis of how you use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will normally be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. However, if an IP-anonymising function is activated on the website, Google will truncate your IP address beforehand within the Member States of the European Union or in other countries that are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the complete IP address be sent to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. On behalf of the website operator, Google will use the information to analyse how you use this website, to compile reports on website activities and to render other services associated with the use of the website and the Internet for the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be combined with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software. Please note, however, that if you do so, you may not be able to use the full functionality of the website. Furthermore, you can prevent Google’s collection and processing of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available through the following link. 5. Credit checking and scoring

Where performance is provided in advance of payment, for example in the event of purchase on account, we may obtain a credit report based on mathematical/statistical methods from Verband der Vereine Creditreform e.V., Hellersbergstrasse 12, 41460 Neuss, Germany, in order to protect our legitimate interests. To do so, we will transmit the personal data necessary for a credit check to Verband der Vereine Creditreform e.V. and use the information obtained on the statistical probability of a payment default to make a considered decision regarding the establishment, implementation or ending of the contract. The credit report may include probability values (score values) that are calculated on the basis of scientifically recognised mathematical/statistical methods. Address details, among other information, may be used in the calculation of such values. Your legitimate interests will be taken into account in accordance with the relevant statutory provisions.
